What is Eval Academy?
Eval Academy is a one-stop shop for all things evaluation. If you want (or need) to conduct your own evaluation but don’t know where to start, Eval Academy has you covered.
Eval Academy’s mission is to support and promote evaluation by providing information, resources, coaching, and training. We help people worldwide better understand, value, and conduct evaluations so that everyone is empowered to evaluate.
Eval Academy was launched in January 2020 by an Alberta-based evaluation consulting company, Three Hive Consulting.
Who is Eval Academy For?
Eval Academy is for anyone interested in evaluation. This includes students, program managers, new and emerging evaluators, seasoned evaluators, and CEOs. We have a wide range of content to suit a diverse audience. We’ve helped you on your way to finding content appropriate for your evaluation experience by implementing our Eval Academy Rating System (insert link to the next FAQ).
What is the Eval Academy Rating System?
We recognize that our audience comes to Eval Academy with differing levels of knowledge about evaluation. The Eval Academy Rating System will help you find the articles and resources most suited to your own level of knowledge about evaluation.

How do I access and download Eval Academy Resources?
Eval Academy Resources include Tipsheets, Templates, Guides, Checklists, and Infographics.
Resources can be accessed and downloaded from the Eval Academy Resources Page.
To download a resource, click on your resource of choice and select “Add to Cart”. Your cart is visible in the top right corner of your web page.
To finish downloading, select the cart icon and then click “Checkout”. You will be prompted to complete a few more details such as your email and address. Any details provided will not be used unless you choose to sign up for the Eval Academy Newsletter. Once completed, your chosen resource(s) will be sent to the email address you’ve provided.
Though many of our resources are free, access to them still requires going through the shopping cart process.

What is evaluation coaching?
Evaluation Coaching is a service offered by Eval Academy. An evaluation coach works with you on your evaluation goals, helping you to understand where and how to improve.
An evaluation coaching session is for:
Those who don’t want to hire an external evaluator, but who need a little help in defining their evaluation plans
Those who aren’t sure if they’re choosing the right method
Those who want an extra layer of review for their data collection tools.

How do I sign up for Eval Academy Courses?

To pre-enroll for a course, simply click on the course you’re interested in. You’ll then be prompted to include some contact details that Eval Academy will use to let you know when enrollment is open.
Why am I receiving Eval Academy Newsletters?
Eval Academy sends out two monthly Newsletters to subscribers via the email provided on signing up.
The Eval Academy Reading List contains top Eval Academy articles and resources from the month. The Eval Academy Monthly Roundup lists any noteworthy events, courses, reading, and news from the wider evaluation community.
How do I unsubscribe from the Eval Academy Newsletter?
To unsubscribe from the Eval Academy Newsletter, simply open your most recent Newsletter sent to your email and click “Unsubscribe” found at the bottom of the email.
