Convenience sampling

Convenience sampling (a.k.a. opportunity sampling or availability sampling) is one method for drawing a sample from a population. This is a type of non-random sampling because the sample is chosen from a group of people who are easy to contact or recruit. Some advantages of convenience sampling are that it is quick and easy. However, a disadvantage is that it can introduce bias, so it is important to remember the convenience sample may not accurately represent the target population.
