Cost effectiveness analysis

Cost effectiveness analysis compares the costs of a program to the effects of the program (a.k.a. the impacts). In contrast to cost-benefit analysis, the impacts do not have to be transformed into a dollar value. In a cost effectiveness analysis, we might find that the program cost $50,000 and it caused a 10% decrease in high school drop-outs. It is then up to the program managers to determine if this was a good use of money.
