Project evaluation is a process to determine the success and impact of a project to see if it is meeting desired goals and objectives. Project evaluation should also provide insight and lessons for future projects.

Results of a project evaluation can be used to

  • Identify improvements

  • Facility changes in project plan

  • Prepare project reports

  • Inform both internal and external stakeholders

  • Plan for the sustainability of the project

  • Learn more about the target population or the environment where the project was carried out

  • Plan for other projects

  • Make evidence-based organizational decisions
